Dear all,
A post regarding the Doctoral Degree Conferment Ceremony (Doktorspromotionen) on the 28th of January 2022. Registration opens today and is open until 1st November. One must fulfill the following two requirements:
- Before 1 November 2021, one must have satisfactorily completed all course work and other equivalent requirements for the doctorate degree. One must conscientiously comply with this; no exemptions from this requirement can be granted.
- One must have satisfactorily defended one’s thesis in a public disputation at Uppsala University by 26 January 2022 at the latest (No disputations are permitted on 27 and 28 January). Since many people defend their theses towards the end of the academic year and since the formalities of including the doctorate in your transcript may take some time, the Vice-Chancellor have declared that the degree may be conferred upon the recipient without presentation of a transcript.
